Jeong Won drove them back to Gyeo Ul's after their dinner date, with the plan to watch a movie before Jeong Won goes home to his and Jun Wan's apartment.
They arrived safely at the car park of the building. Jeong Won quickly unbuckled his seatbelt after he turned off the engine, goes out of the car and rushes to open the door for her. Gyeo Ul laughs at him because he nearly trip. She gets out of the car, thanked him and Jeong won closes the door and lock it.
He holds her hand and they walk together to the entrance. Gyeo Ul can't help it cause she noticed something since dinner, so she asks.
❄Gyosunim?
🌿Hmm?
❄What are you thinking since earlier? It shows on your face.
🌿Nothing.
Gyeo Ul knitting her eyebrows together because of curiosity, he laughs at her when he saw her face.
🌿 It's really nothing.
Still doubting him, she looks at him suspiciously,
he stopped walking, also making Gyeo Ul stop, giving up
🌿Its just... I thought you'll tell me something. Not the one that your mom inviting me to dinner, I'm really grateful and excited for that... (pauses) I j-just really thought and expecting that you'll tell me maybe you're pregnant. We'll have a little one carrying in 9-
❄What if I am?
She asked him but not making it obvious that she's nervous and focused at their holding hands. Jeong Won froze, looking utterly shocked at what Gyeo Ul said.
❄I'll never have a doubt on you gyosunim. I know how much you love children. I know you'll be the happiest man, and you will really be a great dad, b--
🌿so are you? we're pregnant?
He said once he snapped out from being shocked, feeling nervous but most certainly excited
She smiled sadly at him.
❄I'm sorry gyosunim. I'm sorry if I'm going to pop your happy bubble. But no, I'm not pregnant,
(looks down to the ground)
❄I took a PT last week, thinking I might be pregnant since my period's super late. I was so excited but nervous while waiting for the result, then...
Gyeo Ul bites her lip after, preventing herself from crying because of disappointment.
He looks at her, feeling weird then sad, but unlike Gyeo Ul, he's not feeling disappointed. He thought of Gyeo Ul when she took the PT, worried, thinking how she was while waiting for the result and there's no one with her that time. He holds her hand, squeezed it and lifted her chin up. When he saw her face, he hugs her, planting a soft kiss on her temple and caress her hair.
🌿it's okay Gyeo Ul-ah. It's okay. Don't be sorry.
She sobs hard as she heard what he said and comforts her. Gyeo Ul hugs him back while he hug her tighter telling her that he's here and everything is okay.
🌿It might be God telling us we're not ready yet.
❄But gyosunim...
Jeong Won breaks the hug and cups her face.
🌿It's okay Gyeo Ul-aah, don't be disappointed of what happened. We'll have our own little one when God give us that time.
He smiles at her, tucking the strand of hair behind her ears.
🌿How are you feeling now? Feeling better?,
He wipes her tears and continues, in a baby talk voice, while squishing her cheeks.
🌿 You should have told me sooner so I could be with you and hug you and kiss you and comfort you.
❄Not that much gyosunim, but the burden I'm feeling not telling you this is now gone. Thank you.
Jeongwon intertwined their hands.
🌿Is there anything you need or want to make you feel better and okay?
❄Ice cream...
🌿Okay, let's get you home then after I'll get one at the nearby convenience store.
He starts to walk but Gyeo Ul didn't, he faced her.
🌿 What is it?
❄Can you stay tonight?
Gyeo Ul she bit her lower lip, feeling shy with her request. Jeong Won chuckles, touched her lips to stop her from bitting it, closing their gap, leaning down and gave her a peck on the lips.
🌿Glad you asked but even if you didn't, I will stay, my Gyeo Ullie. Let's go.
Gyeo Ul smiles and off they go home to her apartment.
