Your heart throbbed as you watched Kuroo run with your 5 year old daughter across the yard. She had a set of fairy wings and tiara on and he had a pair of wolf ears, he growled as he tackled her and she screamed while he tickled her. She bopped him on the head with her sparkle wand and he faked death. She laughed and stood up running to you.
“Mommy mommy look i killed daddy!”
“You sure did sweetheart.” she climbed onto your lap and you placed a kiss on the top of her head before noticing Kuroo wasn't moving. Did he fall asleep? He hadn't been getting much sleep lately, he was so stressed out over being kenma,s best man in a month. He was planning stuff like crazy, arranging his speech and rewriting parts late into the night and into the early morning.
You sighed and pushed your daughter off you.
“I think daddy fell asleep i'll be right back.” she nodded and sat in your rocking chair. Standing up you looked in the outdoor crib and saw that your 8 month old boy was still asleep. Good.
Going down the steps you wandered over to Kuroo who was lying face up with his eyes closed.
“Tetsu baby? Are you asleep?” you squatted down to shake him but two lanky arms wrapped around you and flipped you so he was on top of you.
“Gotchu shortcake, can't believe you fell for that!”
“Tetsuuuuu that's not fair! God, you still act like you're 17!”
He gasped in mock pain, “you want me to get old and die!” he wailed dramatically before collapsing on top of you crushing your airways.
“That's not what I said!” you rasped out and he put his elbows on either side of your head and smirked, leaning down he sucked on your neck before nipping your earlobe.
“I'll never be too old for moments like these.” he teased and you pushed his chest for him to get off of you.
“Kuroo. The kids can see us!” he knew you were serious when you used his last name.
“Alright alright! But I need to relax, so when the kids go to bed, I'm going to get you to scream my name so loud the people down the road know who I am~”
You turned red, still such a victim when he talked like that, even after you were both parents to two wonderful children. He scooped you up bridal style and ran towards the house, you shook up and down in his arms slightly.
“KIRA GET YOUR LITTLE BROTHER, WE ARE GOING TO MAKE LEMONADE!”
You couldn't stop the wide kid-like smile that covered your face and warmed your soul.
“I love you darling.” you pecked him on the jaw line and he looked down at you completely red. Even after being married for 7 years he still was always caught off guard by such meaningful and affectionate statements.
“I love you baby girl.”
“I love you too daddy!” your daughter shouted from behind you
Clearly there was misunderstanding about who was Kuroos ‘baby-girl’
