Chapter Text
Art Notes:
Unfortunately, both me and my author had an early posting date this time. According to my conversation with my author, I was still working on my eldritch art and was worried if I'd actually be able to make an additional art at all. I normally at least make a title card, but I didn't think I'd be able to even make that. But, as you can see I was able to make a title card and an additional illustration. Though I believe I only got the second illustration done on the day we were supposed to post. So, I cut it really close. In fact my notes on Tumblr said I had to pull an all-nighter to make it on time.
Art:
I tried to position Sam's devil tail to look like it was underlining the title. I've seen a lot of titles with the Word Devil in it have like a fancy underline that ended with a devil's tail spade, and I wanted something like that for this.
I used a free texture for the floor. I used references from old 80-90's middle school decors for refs for the background.
I think if I had to go back and change the title card, I think I'd fix the wall behind the title, so that the title wouldn't get lost a little less in it. That would be the only thing I think. Otherwise, I think it's good where it's at.
I had to rush scene 2. So, it is not as polished as the rest. The floor doesn't have a texture. Small creases didn't get colored properly. And the shading isn't as clean as I would have liked, Dean's especially. I think Dean's eyebrow is a little too long, and paired with it's shadow from far away it looks like unibrow, which I didn't want. 😅 The outfit I choose for Sam doesn't really scream early 90's. It probably should have been something more bulky. Also, clothing folds are hard to figure out, but I did my best.
But, other than that, I'm pretty much happy with it. Despite the imperfections, I thought I did pretty good with teen!chesters' faces here. I looked at all the young Jensen and Jared I could, Jensen has more available due to his modeling days. And I think it paid off. Imo, these are the best ones I've done so far. Weechesters are hard. But the more you do, supposedly, the better you get.
Anyways, as always,
