Dear Sapnap

Chapter 2: The Scraps of Pt 2

Chapter Text

“Sam said Dream was doing well.” Quackity said, setting a plate of food down in front of each husband before sitting down at the table.

“That’s good news!” Karl smiled, “Isn’t it babe?” Karl turned to Sapnap who took a bite of his food, glaring at the scarred man across from him.

“It’s irrelevant information. Especially during dinner. I had a long day, I’m going to bed.” Sapnap stood up and pushed his food away, giving each man a kiss before heading to their room with a frown.

<!> Skip <!>

Sapnap bowed to the man who took the shape of Dream, whispered prayers escaping his scarred lips.

Sapnap was no religious man, he was just desperate.

<!> Skip <!>

He goes inside, the gut feeling that something was wrong was too strong the closer he was. Sam let him in, knowing his relation to Quackity and Sapnap didn’t go through any security measures. Due to his relation with Quackity.

“I’ll drop the lava again, then the netherite wall.” Sam announced and Sapnap nodded across the lava pool, seeing the bride had returned to the Warden allowing the lava, then the wall to fall.

Sapnap saw Dream curled up in the corner and tilted his head to the side, he must be sleeping. Nothing was wrong like Sapnap had suspected and this was a waste of time.

The ravenette stepped forward allowing his fingers to graze the golden bell in the room, hoping Dream would give him some sort of acknowledgement. He only got what sounded like a broken whimper as his blonde haired friend tried to move . He was hurt.

Sapnap swiftly went over to his best friend , Dream and crouched down finally seeing him. Sapnap gasped and stumbled back a little, his hand finding his mouth as he noticed the fresh blood pouring from his body, many slashes were littered around his body with intent of torture.

Torture.

Who the hell would torture him? Not Sam, surely because he wouldn’t be able to get himself out of the cell- or even in it.

Sapnap dropped his hand and stepped forward, falling to his knees in front of the blonde, taking his own jacket off to start cleaning the wounds. Dream hardly winced, he didn’t seem much awake.

Sapnap teared up, they had hurt Dream. Sure back then he was fine in here for a month or two and even after three Sapnap wasn’t going to be that against it. But he’s been in prison for over 300 days. It’s been far too long.

Back then in a fit of anger, Sapnap said he would kill Dream but he can’t- he never would. But now someone has been hurting him, this is unfair. After finally getting his husbands back he didn’t need to find this out and would be talking to them about how absurd this all is later.

Dream blinked awake, “Huh?” He muttered, voice hoarse - raw - from all his screaming while he was being sliced open with various weapons.

“Dream! Oh my god! Who did this to you? What happened? We’re getting you out of here.”

“S-sap?”

“Yes, Dream, it’s me! Hi!”

“Q..” Dream mumbled then his eyes went wide, “N-no if we get out he’ll kill me- y-you’ll kill me!”

“No.. no I won’t.. It was a lie. I love you, Dream, and this isn’t fair to you. I’ll work on getting you out, okay?”

“But.. Q..”

“What? Wait- Q? Like Quackity?”

Dream nodded slowly and Sapnap allowed his crouched body to fall to the floor. Oh.

“I have to go see my husband.” Sapnap said, standing up, “Then you will be leaving here.”

“Wait.. Sap.” Dream said, sniffling.

“Yes?”

“When I get out.. Kill me.”

“What?”

Dream handed a book to the ravenette, “Don’t..” Dream coughed overdoing his voice, “read till alone..”

Sapnap nodded and told Sam he was ready to leave. He made his way to Kinoko where Quackity and Karl were working on something diligently. Sapnap had the book tucked into his inventory, but a sword tight in his grip, storming over and pressing it to Quackity’s neck, George was running over to stop him from getting too mad and exposing his hybrid form and Karl was shouting wondering what was going on.

Quackity saw the look in Sapnap’s eye and a smirk kissed his scared face, “Took you long enough.”

“What’s going on? Sap put the sword down.” Karl tried and George just stood there watching Sapnap to make sure he stayed composed.

“He found out that I’ve been torturing Dream for months now.” Quackity said and when he heard a strangled noise from George, he turned to the brunette shocked he was there.

He knew Karl would forget the confession by morning, but now he had two hybrids ready to kill him. A truth he managed out of Dream during a torture session.

“George.. When did you get there?” Quackity asked, chuckling nervously.

George shook his head, taking his mushroom hat off and dropping it, “Get him out of that damn prison, Quackity.”

“And what if I say no?”

George took his goggles off, exposing his brown eyes, before one turned blue. His left one. Quackity flinched a bit, not expecting George to quickly awaken his hybrid abilities. Vines held Quackity in place and George snickered, “If I have to tell you again, I will give Sap permission to ignite that sword.”

Quackity gulped, “Fine! Please just let me go! I’ll let him out!”

George allowed the vines to disappear and left his goggles on his head, his left eye staying blue. Sapnap lowered the sword and Karl glared at Quackity, linking arms with Sapnap, “You sure know how to lose your husbands more than once.” Karl spit and watched Quackity walk off in shame.

The next day, George and Sapnap stood outside of the prison, both nervous to see Dream again. George was excited to see his boyfriend and Sapnap was scared to kill his best friend.

Dream limped over to his boys, while Quackity stood in the entrance of the prison while George ran to his boyfriend, hugging him. Sapnap splashed a healing potion on the ground so Dream had the energy to kiss his boyfriend.

Sapnap saw Dream looking at him, a smile was on his face and Sapnap sobbed into his hand while shaking his head and stepping back while Dream approached him. Sapnap would have to kill the only person he viewed as family.

He had to kill his best friend.

“Dream-” Sapnap tried but Dream wrapped him in a hug. “Why?” He whispered.

“It will all restart, Sap.. we can be happy again.. No one will have to suffer.” Dream whispered back, “Kill me..”

“I can’t…” Sapnap’s voice trembled, but perhaps his whole body was trembling.

“I love you, Sap. So you need to do this. When the world restarts everything will be fine. You can have your husbands back and me, you and George can go back to being best friends..”

Sapnap let out another broken sob and drew his sword, hearing George start to panic while Karl held him back. “If you go, I go.” Sapnap pressed the blade against Dream’s back, “I trust you will bring me back.”

“See you on the other side, Sap.” Dream said and Sapnap pushed the blade through them both, quickly pulling it out and dropping it. Both of them fell to the ground, looking at each other and laughing . They were both crying through the laughter, and had their hands interlocked.

George had screamed into Karl’s chest, crying along with Karl and Quackity. They didn’t know the server would restart. But they wouldn’t remember what Dream didn’t let them.

They would know of happy marriages and happy little worlds. Karl would remember at some point, and Dream always let Sapnap remember since he can handle it. It messed with George’s abilities to know the world is fake or changed.

Both boys were hardly there now, and Dream was first to fade, “Dream.. I’ll miss you, buddy. And if you're listening, I love you. I think I always will.” Then he was gone.

-

“Good morning, Pandas!” Dream chirped to the ravenette who sat up, nearly bumping his head on the tree he spawned near, smiling at the stupid white mask over his friends face, taking it off of him to see his smile.

“Good morning, Dream.” Sapnap nodded his head to George who smiled as well, leaning on Dream’s arm while Quackity and Karl woke up next to Sapnap. “Ready to start this adventure?”

Dream offered his hand and Sapnap took it, jumping to his feet. Dream put his mask back on, “I’ll race you to the nearest lava pool.”

George let go of Dream’s arm so he and Sapnap could bolt off in a random direction, laughing like a bunch of silly children.

It was the perfect day
