After almost a month of being a villain (racking up a few veteran levels, maxing out her Alpha incarnate and being 1 self-evolving alloy from maxing out her Reactive Interface), Arend Roland did Scirocco's missions. Using the "searching for info" in one of The Spirit City of Hequat missions, she came across some notes about her specific situation, who it was that had been blackmailing her. When she defeated the goddess Hequat, that's when she realized that she would probably be able to defeat the person holding her freedom hostage.
That lead to the Time After Time arc, fighting Lord Recluse 15 years in the future, in the ruins of Atlas Park. With the help of Voidmaster, she confronted Lord Recluse, in front of the ruined city hall, and defeated him. Lyra was so enraged at his manipulations and threats, the hell he put her through, that she literally tore his head off.
With that, she returned to the present day, confronted Lord Recluse, informed him she would never be his tool, and that she would make a point of foiling any plans of his of which she learned.
There were proofs of the blackmailing, which included links to hidden videos online, but she had no "legitimate" manner by which to get them. So, she had to perform one final act of villainy. She had to rob a bank. On Peregrine Island. There, she and Voidmaster faced a metric ton of PPD Awakened, a bunch of Longbow agents, and even Holo Man tried to stop them. But Arend got the proofs she needed, before Longbow and the PPD could close the net around her.
Arriving back in Grandville, Lord Recluse decided to try and remove to threat the his personal authority, by setting off the fail-safe he had lining his recent tool's outfit, making it self-destruct. Cosmic forces (Directed by Voidmaster's magic) were called upon, and Arend Rolan arose from the literal ashes, stronger and ready to take on whatever Earth might throw at her.
