Chapter Text
It was Friday night, Sapnap wasn't in their shared apartment, though it's really not like they saw much of each other. It all started from when he started flirting with George, if you look back you can see it, how he barely saw Sapnap two or three times a week canceling all his outings, so that in the end he doesn't even look at him in his apartment.
Dream knows that the minor avoids him and does not blame him! he deserves Sapnap's hate. Looking back, he has always lost friends for not paying attention. Is it because of his ADHD? he doesn't know it, but he won't use it to justify himself. Sapnap was her friend since she was 12, she can't afford to miss such a friendship.
"I really hope you forgive me Patches" he said to his cat, who only gave him a look before continuing to eat.
If Sapnap forgives him, he swears that he will be the best friend in the world. She wanted to cook him a birthday breakfast, but Sapnap left early. he told George that he canceled his date, he had something important to resolve.
A cake was on the table, he spent hours making it, a birthday cake had to be handmade, he had to do it three times, the first one was burned and the second one was eaten by Patches while he was looking for the decorations. He loved when Sapnap baked for him, cookies or cakes, he always baked delicious things.
I hear the door of his apartment open, the minor entered with a serious face, he briefly looked at Dream and the cake, before beginning to retire to his room.
"Sapnap, please" the minor stopped him "I made you a birthday cake, you don't have to talk to me if you don't want to, but try even a slice"
A sigh was heard, Sapnap sat down while Dream prepared his slice for her.
"And your date with George?"
"I canceled it, this is more important"
silence returned after that. Sapnap ate the slice until she finished it, the cake was really good.
"Is this an apology cake?" I ask, looking at the empty plate.
"No, it's a birthday cake" said Dream "if I want your forgiveness I shouldn't use your birthday to achieve it"
Sapnap smiled, unbeknownst to Dream, his words were a start for his forgiveness.
"The cake is good for a rookie" he got up "thanks for it" taking Dream by surprise, he kissed his lips and without waiting for a reaction he left.
Dream was in shock, trying to analyze what happened, when he did, his face turned red.
