Kazutora looks at the ocean in front of him, the waves bringing him a sense of peace that has been difficult for him to find lately. Watching the moon on the horizon while it reflects on the blue water, reminds him of how Chifuyu’s eyes used to shine whenever he was around him. It’s been hard, and Kazutora is far from okay, but for Chifuyu he would always hold on, always move forward.
“I miss you,” He says. “I don’t believe in parallel universes or alternative timelines, but for you I’d believe in anything.” A quiet laugh leaves his lips. “One where you looked for me when I got out, just like you did here, but instead of a gang, there’s a pet shop where we work together, and we worry about things like when are you going to bring the cat you adore home. We would hang out with everyone once in a while, and you would be a messy drunk who’s too honest for my heart. Our friends would bet on when we would get together too, because you know how slow we would be,” Kazutora feels the first tears streaming down his face. “You would be my home and I would trust my heart to you without a second thought, because you’re the most caring person I’ve ever came across.” He sobs. “I would love you more than anything, but you already know that.”
Kazutora looks back at the moon.
“No matter how many timelines we had to go through, I would love you in every one of them.”
The breeze caresses his face, almost in a comforting way and Kazutora closes his eyes, a bitter smile on his lips as he turns to leave.
“I’ll see you again, Chifuyu.”
