Summary
The plan was a simple one, really. All they had to do was blow up a building and make their secret getaway, to leave the heroes tripping over their feet as they try and clean up the mess they've made by keeping secrets from the public- but a simple plan is never all that simple, especially not when it's the League who made it. An unforeseen event puts Tomura's life in danger and leaves Dabi with no choice but to run into the line of fire to save his boss, blooming a newfound trust between the two. Feelings begin to rise just under the skin, showing up in ways they can't expect or explain, causing the two to fall into a dance of love and hate as they both struggle to hide it. Neither is ready to speak up or make a move on the other, not when they both have walls they selfishly put up years ago, not when the League needs them to work like perfect cogs. But when the other gets so close... too close, things may have to come to light.
Especially, if it could mean life or death.

“Neither choice helps the child, the question inspects individual guilt and capacity for empathy if anything,” Aizawa says.
“What would you choose, Young Dabi-san?” Toshinori asks.
Dabi smirks, “I’d free the kid and help ‘em burn the whole fuckin’ city to the ground.”
