Christmas was always a time in which warmth and coldness coexisted in a seemingly perfect symphony. Cold days cuddled up with your loved one while the joyful cries of kids and hearty laughter of the adults were, after all, customary in this time of the year.
Erwin, as many people around the world, loved the holidays.
Not only because of the paid time off from work but also because he enjoyed spending quality time with all his family members. Ever since he became the happiest father of a little one-year-old baby boy, Erwin had taken a special liking to the Christmas season.
Armin didn't quite understand everything about why they were gathering at Erwin's parent's house, let alone why the whole place was lit up in golden hues while red and green were everywhere. It didn't mean the baby was not enjoying it.
As of right now, Erwin could already foresee Armin's first Christmas was going to be amazing. It had already been magical despite running on very little sleep and mostly coffee. Armin was a rather fuzzy baby, he always wanted to be carried and was a daddy's boy, he absolutely adored Levi. If it weren't because Erwin had made it a resolution to actually get his kid to like him too, Armin wouldn't have given him the light of day. Even so, these past few months had been hard with a baby. They couldn't possibly be happier though. Every hour spent with Armin, watching him grow and discover the world around him was absolutely amazing. If witnessing that meant no sleep then so be it.
The baby's chubby small hand was currently playing with a fuzzy ornament that Erwin's mom had hung on the pillar in front of the bathroom. Erwin was waiting for Levi because his omega had rushed to the bathroom after eating too much sugar and no substantial food. Of course that wasn't strange these days, it had been quite hard to get back to a healthy schedule after welcoming their baby boy. The hours of the day were just not enough and their priority now was Armin. They had gotten better at eating actual meals but the Holidays season was a whirlwind even when you did not have kids.
Erwin was dutifully waiting for his mate with Armin in his arms, the baby was sleepy but enthralled in the fuzzy new toy he had discovered, pretty much on his tactile phase still.
The sound of the toilet flushing and water running alerted the alpha that Levi had finished, it wasn't until a few minutes later that Levi opened the door looking…
Looking rather angry for the joyous time of the year.
Erwin frowned when his omega walked straight to him, full lips pursed and seemingly mad at him. He who had done nothing at all to deserve such anger. Despite the angry aura, Armin didn't waste a second to stretch his short arms out for his other dad to carry him, totally oblivious to the threat that his mate was now. Still, Levi looked positively gorgeous with his pale skin and a red fuzzy sweater. The alpha physically stopped himself from looking at his mate's thick thighs hugged sinfully by his black jeans, instead choosing to hug Armin closer to him and use their baby as a human shield. There was no way the omega would harm, because yes he looked murderous, Erwin when their sweet baby boy was in the way.
It didn't stop Levi from stabbing him with something on his chest.
He moved Armin to rest on his hip and grabbed the omega's weapon, not even being able to realize what the stick he was holding was before Levi started talking.
"Twelve. Fucking. Months, Erwin! It took you years to knocked me up for the first time and now you fuck with no condom once and you already put another child in me! We cannot afford to loose our sanity with a toddler and a baby you fucking idiot!"
His lovely and soft spoken omega was actively pushing Erwin's shoulder, very strongly so despite being tiny. His mind had a hard time processing Levi's words with the continuous attack, Armin's happy giggles as background music to the omega's outburst were not helping either.
"What are you talking about?" Erwin asked at a loss.
"See for yourself, idiot!" His mate provided very gently.
The alpha looked down at the white stick that had been so generously pushed to him, immediately understanding as the two red lines told him everything he needed to know.
Levi was pregnant. Again.
Erwin's mouth grew into a smile as the omega's words made much more sense.
A month ago was their anniversary and Erwin had declared that condoms were not allowed during anniversary sex. They had taken Armin with Levi's mother for a weekend that they spent at a hotel. Between two days of flowery baths and relaxing hot tubs, the alpha had not really pay much importance to the fact that they were having sex without protection. As Levi so kindly put it, it had taken them a long time to be able to conceive and thus, the thought of it happening again so early didn't even cross their minds
The two had dutifully opted to bringing back condoms into their lives once fucking became less timely and more hurried. They didn't want to bother with cleaning and making messes, they already had Armin making messes on a daily basis. Yet on their anniversary Erwin had made all the messes he had wanted and a few more, being very much cheered on by Levi.
It was kind of shocking now to realize that the one time they fucked without protection ever since their baby was born was the only time needed for Levi to get pregnant again. Although he would argue that it wasn't just one time but one whole weekend of fucking, the point still remained.
It made Erwin's inner alpha huff proudly and heave his chest but he doubted his mate would appreciate that so he moved to hug him instead.
"This is amazing, love! Best Christmas gift ever!" Erwin exclaimed happily, bouncing a cheery Armin.
"Fuck you I already bought you a Christmas gift! Stop being so understanding." Levi pouted and crossed his arms over his chest with a deep frown, looking like a kicked puppy.
"I don't understand, is this a moodswing? Why are you so grumpy, daddy?" The alpha cooed, wiggling Armin on his arms and straight into the omega's line of vision, using his baby voice and earning hearty laughs from their baby boy.
"Of course it fucking is! I'm pregnant!" Fresh tears gathered in Levi's eyes as his pupils shook, pout intensifying. Erwin stood shellshocked for a moment before pulling Levi towards his side, the one Levi wasn't occupying.
"Don't curse in front of the babies, love." He whispered tenderly, letting out his alpha pheromones so as to calm his omega. "It's going to be okay."
"I know, I just want to stomach a cookie and not puke it." He let out a chuckle at that, guiding Levi to the kitchen where the feast of food was displayed in hopes of finding something the pregnant omega would want to eat and not puke later.
It would be selfish to say Erwin wasn't already enjoying having his omega pregnant again because that would be a blatant lie. The alpha had come to love the feeling of being able to see their baby growing inside Levi and being needed by his mate. It was an addictive feeling and now he understood why Nanaba and Mike had not stopped after their first child or second, or third . They did say that their fourth baby was the last one, but then again they had said that the last time.
Even with his honest excitement, Erwin was certain it would be hard to handle two babies at the same time. However, he had his mate beside him helping him and learning together through it all. Erwin had made sure Levi knew he was not all alone the last time and he would gladly do it again this time. They were together in this at the end of the day.
