Summary

Summary
After the rumbling, Levi now lived in a secluded cabin with his only living blood relative. Mikasa practically couldn’t function after Eren’s death so Levi decides to live with her in order to make sure she doesn’t die. There was no other use for a disabled soldier after all.
Or at least that’s what he tells himself. He tries to not think deeply on the girl’s broken eyes being similar to his.

But Erwin had read that it would "keep the romance alive" in one of his old man magazines and wouldn't stop talking about how fun it sounded, which is how Levi found himself getting coffee with his "long lost friend" Erwin after nearly 20 years of marriage.

The weekend before finals, it finally starts to snow. The smooth glass panels of Levi’s windowpanes are frosted with delicate crystals of ice when Erwin trudges through the slush towards the shop on Monday, but it’s as snug and toasty inside as it always is. It smells like mint and gingerbread today; Levi must have brought out some special sweets for the holiday season. He raises a brow when he sees him enter, cracking a slight smile as Erwin tries and fails to discreetly brush the snowflakes out of his hair. Somehow, his demeanor feels more mischievous than usual.
“What’ll it be today, professor?” Levi leans over the counter, head tilted playfully.
