Chapter Text
hi jinnie hyung,
have you ever been in love before, or admired someone so much that you can't think of anything but them?
i haven't. not before you. i'd say that you're my first.
it's a little creepy, isn't it?
i promise you know me. we've talked, we have mutual friends (not much of a hint, you're friends with everyone).
you're just... beautiful. and perfect. i love everything about you.
i wish you loved everything about me, too.
you never will, but i can't help imagining this movie-like scenario where you meet your secret admirer.
we can't be soulmates
but you mean everything to me.
last time i wrote to you, i took a leaflet from your locker, if you were wondering where that dance leaflet went.
it makes sense, you look pretty like a dancer does.
i was thinking of trying out for the team, but i practised last night and...
i looked like a fish just taken out of water
you would've laughed at me and told me to go back to the library or something, but it was kinda funny.
i wish i could talk to you. i wish i could have these talks in person.
i really, really admire you, hwang hyunjin.
- cherry blossom
"you have a fucking secret admirer?"
hyunjin just sighed as he grabbed a new letter from his locker, smiling and unzipping his backpack to slip it inside, but sunghoon took the letter from his hands before he had chance to put it away. the other boys all crowded around as sunghoon unfolded the paper, hyunjin rolling his eyes and trying to take it back.
"come on, just give it-"
"this dude sounds like a fucking loser, hwang" sunghoon laughed, passing the paper to the other boys to read, "i really, really admire you, hwang hyunjin-"
"it's sweet-"
"it's called being desperate" one of the others, daehyun, rolled his eyes as he ripped the paper before handing the shreds back to hyunjin, "the guilt tripping, everything, this dude is just desperate and trying to make you feel bad. he's a loser"
hyunjin stuffed the shreds back into his bag, closing his locker with another sigh. he- cherry blossom wasn't a loser. he wasn't desperate or guilt-tripping hyunjin. he was just... alone. right? hyunjin had never read any of the letters in the way sunghoon and daehyun did, but...
"i- i guess.."
