The ABBA Fic Fest celebrates the music created by the iconic Swedish Group and the combining of the world of Harry Potter. This is an open pairing fest, and we welcome all Harry Potter ships. Please read all the tags and prompts before reading.

Participants can either self-prompt or select form one of the available prompts.

FAQ:

Q: Is this open to any Harry Potter fandom pairing?
A: Yes! Any pairing you wish.

Q: Is this fest only for writers?
A: No! It’s open to every type of creator.

Q: Is there a word limit?
A: If your entry is written, it should be at least 500 words. There is no word count limit. Both multi-chapter fics and one-shots are welcome. Maximum length for multi-chapter fics is 12 Chapters.

Q: What are the prompts for?
A: The prompts are included as a list of ideas for participants. You can either claim an existing prompt, or, if you cannot fit your entry within the bounds of a prompt, prompt code 000 exists for you to claim.

Q: Can multiple people claim one prompt?
A: Though we encourage claiming a prompt that hasn’t already been claimed, you are free to pick any that tickles your fancy. There is no official limit on the number of claims per prompt.

Q: How do I sign up?
A: Claim a prompt here on AO3 and fill out this Google Form. Once both steps have been completed, you have officially signed up and are good to go! Please note that if you decide to change your prompt, you will need to fill out the form again.

Q: Are submissions anonymous?
A: Written works will remain anonymous from the posting day (APRIL 1st) until authors are revealed on (April 30th.) Art will not be anonymous at any point and will be revealed on APRIL 30th

Prompts & Claiming:

Prompting will be open from DATE - DATE through this google form. You are not required to submit a prompt to participate in the fest.

Prompt claiming will open on 01/01/2022 on AO3.

Prompts will include those submitted by users as well as additional prompts created by the moderators.
If you submit a prompt during the prompting week, you are not required to select that prompt. You’re free to select any prompt you like.

After you claim a prompt, please ensure to also complete the sign up form. If you decide to change your prompt after you submit the form, you will have to submit again.

Though we encourage claiming a prompt that has not already been claimed, there is no official limit on how many users can claim the same prompt.

Submission Details:

Written entries must be at least 500 words. There is no word count limit.

Stories can be stand-alone or part of a series. If your submission is part of a series, please refrain from linking it to the series right away. You may add it to the series after authors are revealed.

Stories may be one-shot for multi-chapter fics. If multi-chapter, please ensure all chapters are complete.
Stories must be original and never published before. The Maximum chapters allowed is 12 and must not be a WIP.

Please ensure your submission does not include any mention of your pen name. Stories will initially be posted anonymously. You can add your social media accounts and any other personal information after authors are revealed on April 30th.

If you are between the ages of 13-17 you may only submit Gen and Teen rated works. All Mature and Explicit works must be created by those 18 or older.

All stories will be submitted anonymously to allow for unbiased voting. Author's will be revealed once voting is complete.

Please credit your betas anonymously without revealing their pen-name. You will be allowed to add formal beta credit after authors are revealed.

Tag Guidelines:

Your submission must include a tag for X and should satisfy said tag throughout the content of the story.

Other kinks/tags are allowed but the X kink must be important to either the story or the characters.

Stories must be properly tagged with any applicable Archive Warnings and properly rated. *Please do not select “Chose not to Use Archive Warnings”.

Everything must be tagged according to AO3 guidelines.

Beta/Alpha Information:

Authors participating in the event may also alpha or beta stories.

We encourage the use of a beta, but if that’s not something you’re comfortable with, it is not a requirement.

If you do not use a beta, please ensure the work you submit is free of spelling and grammatical errors.

If you would like a beta but don’t know how to find one, feel free to reach out and we can pair you with someone.

Please ensure that if you use a beta, you credit them anonymously for your initial submission. After authors are revealed, you can publish their pen name.
