“You turned me down.” Ranma answers, his voice even. When she looks up, his face is expressionless.
“Why?” she asks quietly.
“I don’t know.” He takes a deep breath. Swallows. “But I think maybe.” A pause. He tries again. “I think maybe it’s because I didn’t tell you the truth.”
She looks at him. His eyes look like two grey stones; his mouth is pressed into a thin line. “What is the truth?” she asks.
“I miss you.” He says.

Varias semanas han pasado ya desde el tragico incidente ocurrido en Jusenkyo. El regreso a casa había sido bastante caótico, pues ninguno de los Tendo soportó saber que habían estado a sólo unos segundos de perder a la pequeña Akane en un lejano lugar y a causa de un completo desconocido.
Sin embargo, con el paso de los días, aquel sentimiento fue disminuyendo hasta el punto en que finalmente, la rutina habitual volvió a establecerse en casa. La vida volviendo a ser tal y como antes.
O bueno, casi.
Porque había algo que ciertamente no ocurría antes de Jusenkyo. Y Akane no lo pasaría por alto.
