Let your imagination run wild with fantasy, whimsical alternate universes, and joyful adventures. This week is dedicated to whimsy, light-heartedness, and all things delightful — we need positivity in this fandom, and we are bringing an entire week devoted to spreading it throughout!

Arcane whimsy week 2025 will be open to 18+NSFW submissions, we will be asking that it must be properly tagged on whatever platform you post to! (i.e. #arcane #whimsyweekNSFW)

The following content is NOT allowed: anything that depicts or could be interpreted as r*pe, SA, paedophilia, incest, racism, homophobia, transphobia, butchphobia, Nike Pros or AI etc.

Can we make shippy content?
Yes, but it must be tagged accordingly.

Can we make nsfw content?
Yes, as long as you tag it accordingly on Twitter, Blsky or AO3.

What does 'whimsy' mean?
Many people are asking what “whimsy” means

It means: playful/silly/wholesome/fantastical/eccentric/something that sparks joy!

Some examples are:
- characters as aliens, snails, worms, dinosaurs, food items, etc.
- characters in silly situations like bodyswapping, stuck in a time loop, meeting their AU counterparts
- characters as part of fairytales/folklore stories
- characters as supernatural beings (werewolves, vampires, mermaids, cryptids)
- etc.

I hope this clarifies any confusion. When we post the official full prompt list, we will include examples for each!

What kind of content can I make?
Anything your heart desires that inspires you from the prompts you see.

1. Any Format Is Welcome
Drabbles, fanart, silly sketches, one-shots, poetry, threads, twitter shitposts, twt thread fics, headcanons—go wild! There’s no minimum or maximum.

2. Use the Event Hashtag
Please tag your posts with #ArcaneWhimsyWeek so we (and others) can find, share, and celebrate your work.

3. Post Where You Like
Post on your platform of choice—Twitter, blsky, Tumblr, AO3, etc. An AO3 collection may be available for archiving (link to be added soon).

4. Late Posts Are Welcome
Missed a day? No worries. Post when you can!

5. Respect All Creators
Support others by liking, sharing, and leaving kind comments. Constructive feedback is welcome, but please be respectful and mindful in all interactions.

6. Content Guidelines
Tag all NSFW, sensitive, or triggering content appropriately.

7. Please respect ship boundaries if your work is ship-focused.

8. No AI-Generated Writing
We want to celebrate human creativity; therefore, please do not submit AI-written or AI-assisted works.

9. Be Inclusive & Kind
