Sometimes the strangest encounters can change one's life. Kunikida never thougth that it would happen to him, however.

“See! Man, if you weren’t in the ADA we could be really good friends.” Chuuya lamented, letting himself fall backwards with a long sigh. At that, Kunikida realized that he never got the other’s full name or even his occupation. Before he could think more about it, the question just slipped from his lips:
“Just who are you?”
Suddenly, the redhead looked nearly sober, fixing him with a serious stare.
“Believe me, it’s better you don’t know.”

“Well then you can call me Dazai.” the man announced, before he raised his glass to clink it to the blond’s. “I have a feeling I will have a lot of fun with you.”
Kunikida got that strange, foreboding feeling, that after today it would be quite difficult to get rid of this man. He briefly pitied his future self.

“However, I hope the slug doesn’t expect me to stop calling him out on his shortcomings. I mean, I still have to keep you on your toes, don’t I?” Dazai suddenly blurted out as he looked back over his shoulder. Surprisingly, it felt like a weight had lifted from Chuuya’s chest at those words.
“Don’t think I won’t be doing the same!” he replied with a boyish grin, a similar one mirrored on the brunet’s face, before the detective turned again and vanished into the night.
