Summary
The only thing that made Jimin’s big fat crush on Jeongguk bearable and almost painless was knowing that no matter what the circumstances were, he would never have a shot with the maknae. He was a guy and Jeongguk was into girls, as simple as it sounded. So it wasn’t a rejection itself, it was more of a blank wall Jimin would never get to cross and somehow he found that way more comforting than thinking that even if he had the slightest chance with Jeongguk, the younger still wouldn’t pick him.
It may sound complicated, but thinking like that allowed Jimin to sleep at night without his heart aching. Or that was until the day Jeongguk called all of them into his room to talk.

He always suspected that there was something more than friendship in his feelings towards the maknae. The way his heart would clench in his chest whenever the younger sneaked behind him in the morning and would bury his face in the crook of Jimin’s neck whispering a sleepy “Good Morning Hyung” into his skin. The way his stomach would flip every time he saw that cute bunny smile, eyes crinkling and nose scrunching. The way his eyes would linger in the younger’s body when his shirt was clinging to his sweaty chest after an intense dance practice.
He knew his feelings towards Jungkook were a whole lot more than friendship.
He also knew that he was completely and utterly fucked.
