Summary
Past: 15 year old Cassius Artiere gets sent to the Agency, an organization meant to break him and keep him from using his magic, which is believed to be unnatural or a curse by some. There, he meets Tristan Vaiela, his cellmate. The two of them help each other through the torture and humiliation they endure there, and they fall fast and hard for each other. Their connection is discovered, and to the horror of them both, used against them.

Summary
In the depths of the Asetian organization known as Carovnik Piadiov, purposed to train people in the use of magic; Cassius exploits and torments Rook while going unnoticed by their superiors. Cassius grows more possessive and eventually makes Rook his and his alone, bringing him to his secluded mansion and locking him in the dungeons below it. Any hope of a normal life is lost for Rook, and his pain only grows.
As time passes, Cassius grows in both power and cruelty, and rescues his boyfriend Tristan from the Agency. Tristan, at first oblivious to the monster Cassius has become, soon discovers there is more to his caring, sweet lover than meets the eye.
