Q : Does _____ count as incest?
A : If it has biological relatives, step relatives, or likewise, in a romantic or sexual situation within the work, it counts. If incest is implied, it counts. If it's selfcest, it counts. If they're not related in canon but you make them related for the purpose of the work, it counts. If the work contains family bonding that could be interpreted as platonic or as incest, but you the writer perceive it as incesty, it counts. If the characters, although not related by any biological or legal means, would have qualms with dating each other because they're "like family to me", it counts, as long as that bond is shown in canon or in the work itself.
TLDR : If someone out there could perceive it as incest, then yeah, it probably counts.

Q : Can I make art?
A : Yes, any type of art, traditional, digital or other, is welcome, as long as it relates to the prompts to you.

Q : Can I do the same prompt/day twice?
A : Yes, feel free to do as many or as little prompts as you want, as many times as you want.

Q : Can I post my work on social media?
A : Sure! Feel free to tag us if you do.

Q : Can I combine prompts?
A : Yes!

Q : Can I combine with prompts from another event?
A : Yes, As long as the work complies with the rules of all events involved.

Q : Can I revisit previous years' prompts?
A: Of course!

Q : Will you reblog my post?
A : We will reblog every work that tags our Bluesky/Tumblr account. Give us 72 hours for us to reblog before reaching out to us about it.
Please note any works not completed in the usual Cestween runtime (from prompt release until the end of November) might not be noticed immediately, and therefore might take a little longer to be reblogged/shared.

Q : Can I interpret a prompt like this?
A : Yes, you can interpret a prompt however you like. If it makes sense to you then it makes sense to us.

Q : What are the word count requirements?
A : There is no strict word counts, go as big or small as you like.

Q : Does it have to be a completed work?
A : No, not at all. A mere first chapter or sketch is absolutely fine!

Q : Can I post before or after the prompt date?
A : Yes. Post anytime, a whole month early or 10 centuries late is absolutely fine.

Q : Where/when will the prompts go up?
A : Prompts will be posted each year on our Bluesky/Tumblr. Usually sometime in September, though may be a little earlier.

1. All works must contain (fictional) incest in some way (an incest pairing must feature, be heavily implied, or play an important role within the work.)
2. NSFW, kinky, and Dead dove/dark content is very much allowed, but please tag accordingly.
3. RPF is allowed, as long as the people are reasonably famous and above the age of 18.
4. No AI or LLM (large language model) works allowed.
