For a split second, her heart slams on its brakes. Then it restarts and races forward, ready to THUMP THUMP THUMP! straight out of her chest. Even though this was her wish, she still stumbles backward from sheer shock of it coming true, holding on to the table as the dream world makes her dream… world.
She can’t even muster up a fourth reaction, at least not in the way she probably should, but how can she react when Dave’s standing up! Standing up and moving around his room! Someone else, someone her age, someone like her, awake and alive!
