"Shauna's hum chokes in her throat, her eyes flashing open. There, behind Jeff, in the chair by the window: Jackie. Snow in her hair, skin pale and tight and eyes just sunken in enough to remind her. Her varsity jacket crinkles as she crosses her arms and stands up. Shauna closes her eyes and when she opens them, The Ghost is looming next to her, cold radiating off of her body. Shauna can feel herself shivering in response."
Maybe inevitably she always wanted Jackie here for this, but not like this. Forget haunting the narrative, The Ghost of Jackie Taylor is haunting the wedding night.
