He doesn’t cry, he doesn’t rant, he doesn’t get angry at the world for hating him through no fault of his own. Richie focuses on Eddie, and his heart fills instead with gratitude and something else that is immense and buoyant and powerful. But, just like the rest of his feelings, he shoves that away too.
