About Dimileth Prompt Meme (Dimileth_Prompt_Meme)
Navigation
Intro:
Six years have passed since FE3H came out, but Dimileth is still desperately in love! If our favorite couple has inspired you, let us know! Did a random shower thought have you picturing the fic of your dreams? Did you recently watch/read a piece of media and think, “OMG IT’S THEM”? Do you just hunger for that specific flavor of Dimileth you love? If you’re not sure exactly how to make it happen, make a prompt so that your idea can inspire another creator!
Alternately, are you struggling through a bout of writer’s/art block and need a jump start? Want to flex your creative muscles on something different than what you usually do? Or do you just love making your fellow Dimileths’ days? Claim one of the prompts and submit a fanwork that fulfills it!
This is an open-ended challenge with no due dates for prompts or fills.

FAQ:
Detailed Instructions for participation can be found in our info doc. If you still have questions after reading, please email us.
General
Is this an exchange?
No, this is a prompt challenge! You don’t have to write based on anyone else’s requests and are not guaranteed a fic based on your own requests. (However, the more prompts you leave, the more likely you are to see someone bite!) See AO3's FAQs on prompt memes.
How do I participate?
This fest is run through AO3, so you will need an AO3 account to participate and sign up to the collection. However, you are welcome to cross-post your fic to Bluesky, Tumblr, etc.
Prompting
Can I submit a prompt without filling one myself?
Yes! Absolutely! You can submit prompts without even the intention of writing anything. This challenge is intended for the Dimileth community, and that includes our lovely readers.
What version(s) of Byleth and Dimitri are allowed?
Whatever your heart desires. Under “categories” you can select 0 to 6 options (m/f, m/m, etc). Zero means that you have no preference, and a creator is free to choose their preferred genders to fill the prompt. If you choose one or more categories, creators may only fill with fanworks that meet that criteria. If any clarification is needed, please include that in the prompt– for example, “M/F with m!Byleth and f!Dimitri,” or “M/M with trans m!Byleth.” Remember, the more flexibility you offer, the more likely it is that your prompt will be filled! But if you choose any or several options, you must be ready to read and enjoy ANY of the given options. Please do not try to direct the creator in the prompt, i.e. selecting no categories but writing “any Byleth is fine but I really prefer f!Byleth” or similar.
What topics can I include in my prompts?
No topics are prohibited. From the sweetest domestic fluff to the filthiest smut and everything in between, as long as they're about Dimileth! Dark, “problematic,” or dead dove content is allowed. Please tag fills appropriately. As a courtesy to those browsing the collection, please include any relevant content warnings at the beginning of your prompt. Don’t like, don’t read or fill.
What if there’s something I really do not want included if someone fills my prompt?
You are able to specify what ratings you would like, so if you want a SFW work with no graphic violence, choose Gen or Teen. You may also include a section of Do Not Wants (DNWs) in your prompt. Please use clear and neutral language. For instance, "No mention of pregnancy or childbirth," "No romance during academy phase," "No bathroom related kinks.” Vague or judgmental DNWs may be deleted by the mods. Examples: "Nothing problematic," "No Sylvain he's the worst," "No gross kinks."
Please remember this is not an exchange or personal commission, so do not try to restrain the creator too much with the tools available to you. Be aware that creators are free to interpret the prompts as they wish, and hold total creative freedom over the work. Creators should respect DNWs and consider the prompter’s preferences to the best of their abilities.
If you still have questions, see our info Doc for some example prompts.
Filling a prompt
Can only writers claim prompts?
No! Art, comics, or other fanworks are allowed and encouraged. You will need an AO3 account to claim and post. If you have questions about image hosting, email us and we can help
Can I claim more than one prompt? Can I claim a prompt someone else has already claimed?
Claim as many as you want. Multiple claims are allowed; no two works will be the same.
Can I post my work anonymously?
Yes! There are many collections you can use to post your work anonymously in the prompt meme. There is even one specifically for Dimileth here.
What if I can’t complete a prompt I claimed?
Life happens! This is a casual, voluntary challenge. You can drop a prompt any time by going to your claims. If you want to reclaim it down the line when things settle down, or claim a different one instead, go for it.

Rules:
- There are no minimum or maximum word counts, but fics must be complete. If you choose to write something chaptered or as part of an existing series, it must be able to work as a standalone fic when you post.
- Dimitri and Byleth must be main characters of the prompt and the fill. You may also request threesomes/moresomes involving Dimileth, gen pre-relationship prompts, additional side characters or background ships, crossovers, and Alternate Universes (AUs).
- Do not submit any AI-generated writing or images as either a prompt or a fill.
- Be kind to your fellow Dimileths. Prompts containing moral judgements over ships/content will be immediately deleted. This is a welcoming space for all fictional content.
- Please make appropriate use of the archive warnings & be sure to adhere to standard tagging conventions. If you feel certain tags will spoil the contents of your fic and might trigger someone, put clear additional content warnings in the notes of your fic.
And one courtesy: The purpose of this prompt meme is to inspire each other and build our little community. Creators, please respect the DNWs of your claimed prompts, and do your best to stay within the spirit of the prompt. Prompters, please comment on any fills you receive to let the creator know you appreciate their hard work. Be understanding if the creative process takes a slightly different direction than what you envisioned.
