Collection of fics inspired by or otherwise fitting this quote from The One Ring RPG's Rivendell Compendium:
“Elrond also keeps a personal library, on one of the upper floors. Only the most trusted among his advisors can enter this room. Not only does he possess irreplaceable manuscripts penned by Celebrimbor and others, he also has a small collection of dangerous knowledge — treatises written by the wise and erudite Wizard Saruman about the nature and power of the Shadow, passages of the Black Speech recorded from captured enemies, and the mad rantings of those who had learned too much of the Enemy’s ways.”

Intro:
A collection for epistolary works that fit the quote from the description! We take a broad approach to ‘fit’ - it doesn’t have to be an ultra serious fic exploring Celebrimbor’s approach to smithcraft, or a work exploring the Black Speech. It can also a funny story about Glorfindel’s very bad vacation to Gondor and the letters he sent back detailing how the Steward won’t listen, or an angsty history of the fall of the Curufin’s wife.
Basically, this is just a collection of works that for one reason or another wouldn’t be judged suitable for Rivendell’s public library.

Rules:
1. Works do not have to belong to the same universe. For example, a fic describing Finrod’s extra special sex adventures with First Age Men does not preclude another fic of angsty love letters between Finrod and Turgon or a fic where Finrod has no relationships at all.
2. Collection is open to any type of epistolary or other work that could belong in Elrond’s personal library - work reports, love letters between distinguished elves, secret treaties, letters reporting events that need to be kept from everyone else, editions of texts that would be suitable for the public library except Celegorm vandalized them with 82 rude limericks about Thingol, or anything else.
3. There is no single correct approach to canon. Fics may pull from any part of Tolkien’s lore or lore from connected properties (like The One Ring RPG that inspired it), and can be as lore compliant as you want to write.
4. Bigotry or harassment towards other fans is not allowed. If your fic comes with a side of harassment, don’t post it here.
