Summary
A determined Helion confronts Eris Vanserra in his own home after Eris had accidentally let it slip to Lucien the day prior that Helion was their Mother's mate, and that she was slowly withering away in Autumn--the situation becoming dire. Lucien immediately went and begged Helion to stop waiting and retrieve their Mother from the clutches of Beron, which led them to this moment.
Eris had a plan--and though it was slow moving, he thought he could do it on his own. That is, until Helion outright refuses to wait any longer. Then he and his mother's mate hatch a plan to confront Beron and end him once and for all. Unfortunately, some decisions made in the heat of the moment come with foreseen consequences.
A battle of High Lords, a traitorous heir of Autumn, and too many shrouded family secrets get exposed. Will Eris be able to handle all of the fall out and becoming the High Lord of a withered and oppressed Court?

Summary
The High Fae of Prythian are slow to trust and even slower to change so while the peace talks and trade with the human lands and between courts are not prospering like Feyre had hoped they would, at least things were quiet.
Everyone is grateful for the tentative peace they have enjoyed in the 3 years since the ending of ACOSF but the ultra relaxed stance of the inner circle grates on Azriel's nerves as Illyrians start to go missing at the edges of their borders.
