“Love, you know I cannot be here forever. When that time comes, will you paint me? One final piece for this silly old man.”
“... I will.”
For Wriothesley… and for himself; so that he may not forget his lover’s name, smile, love, everything. The very picture of him preserved for eternity through the colours and blood of the land.
Before Neuvillette knew it, he found himself pulled into Wriothesley’s lap as their lips met in a teasing distraction that he readily accepted even if it did undo the past few minutes’ work on his hair. One kiss had become two, three, and then more; comb long since lost to the mess of sheets and blankets in their movements as colour blooms between them.
— Where, when Wriothesley and Neuvillette married, they did so not just on human terms… but also on an ancient promise to spend an eternity together. That their souls may always find each other always.
When Wriothesley’s time is up, Neuvillette continues to wait… and wait… and wait. Until, hundreds of years later, Wriothesley returns and falls in love all over again.

Summary
Let me tell you a tale. I will say it’s a sad story, one filled with despair and heartache. But I’m sure you’d want to hear it anyway, for it also has its occasional points of happiness and love.
It begins with a boy named Freminet.
And on a fateful day, his world changed. Perhaps… not for the better… not yet, not at that moment; For it was two in the morning that day, the day Freminet saw no more point in living.

Summary
It was a misstep on Neuvillette’s part.
He couldn’t ever have imagined that between his daydreams and reality, he had leaned in and pressed his lips against those of the Duke. Just the smallest taste of honey and dark tea, a hint of a gasp and then— Neuvillette’s pulling away, ducking under the Duke’s arm.
“Neuvillette—” Wriothesley had reached out, catching the edge of his sleeve.
Neuvillette’s panic had risen, his hand twisting in the grasp and slipping out of the grasp to take a couple of desperate steps away. Wriothesley’s taste had lingered on his lips, imparting his warmth, “Say not a word!” He raises his voice, a little louder than necessary for polite conversation, “I wasn’t… That wasn’t…”
