Spoilers up to chapter 121
In another universe where the Kamuanbi consulted with the Prince of the Soga clan for the best route to victory, Fushimi received Kumeyuri just before his eleventh birthday and went to war only to return home adrift and out of place. Meanwhile, Uruha never received any of the Enchanted Blades, took up with Natsuki, and became a Kamunabi agent. Fifteen years later, Natsuki's assassination sends Fushimi to Kokugoku for protection while Uruha becomes the captain of the guard there, all of this due to the Prince's machinations.
