The (Chronologically) first in a connected series of stories by retirw that traces all the way through "Forged In the Fire" (The Mag7 in the crusades) Magnificent Seven in the Old West, the (in)famous ATF AU, and through to her story "The Human Factor," A WIP that appears to have been abandoned at 50 chapters, placed in the far future when, to roughly quote her, "mankind has taken to the stars." In addition to this series (though the stories are capable of standing alone as well) she has several similar but unconnected
For more mature readers. While retirw's works focus on non-sexual, non-romantic relationships they aren't exactly light on sexual content either.
Retirw is known for her author's notes which are just as much fun to read, if not more than, the actual stories.
Most of her stories are M7 crossed with The Sentinel and featuring regular cameos from Highlander characters but she also has a few one-shots that are simply M7 and one hilarious Highlander ficlet.

Summary
Dean didn't become a Sentinel until after he gets back from hell, and panicked from all the sensory overload and thought he was going crazy from his trip to hell. But Sam has read Everything Ever and suspects what's going on, needs to confirm it and so he kidnapped the world's expert in Sentinels. Jim is not amused.

Once again, bookmarking in honor of CaraLee's brand new Operation: GenSen collection.
This is actually more a series of arcs and one-shots than a story with a strong central plot. So, while it's WIP, that doesn't mean you'll be left at all unsatisfied if you read what's there. Oh, and watch out for other stray crossovers: There's a Walker, Texas Ranger character that shows up for a chapter, I remember.
(Just don't go looking for the snippet that was posted on the Livejournal account as a response to fic prompts in honor of Valentine's Day, 2014. That one, which is also a crossover, will leave you wanting more.)
