He rose from his chair and walked to the door, getting close enough to hear the voices more clearly.
“… set you an appointment,” Blishen was saying briskly, as if tired of discussing whatever it was.
“All right, then.” The impatient voice was familiar. Very familiar.
“Your name? Sir.”
“Newton.”
Percival sighed.
There was a pause, the sound of scratching as Blishen most likely wrote the name in the book. “Last name?”
“Graves.”
The scratching stopped abruptly.
Percival gets a visit from his lovely wife during his lunch break.
