Summary
Otto clenched his jaw so tightly that Ormund thought he could hear his teeth grinding, but before any words could be exchanged, the priest’s gaze shifted to the figure standing a few paces behind.
Gwayne appeared to have made an effort to dress impeccably for Mass, and Ormund appreciated that. The dark blazer had a straight cut over the crisply starched white shirt, and the trousers hugged those slender legs. He was still a full head shorter than Ormund and looked even smaller as he stood with his hands clasped behind his back and his eyes fixed on the marble floor.
“Gwayne,” Ormund called, his voice softening even further to sound like a paternal invitation, though the purpose was purely to unsettle his uncle. “Won’t you greet your cousin?”Or: Ormund Hightower is a proud religious leader in Oldtown. He realizes that the best way to seek holiness is by tasting sin on his tongue.

Summary
A strange quirk of death causes Gwayne Hightower to open his eyes again after his death—almost eighty years later, in a meadow somewhere in the Reach, miles away from Tumbleton.
The world he knows no longer exists, and everyone he ever cared about is dead—just as he should be.
Instead of the Siege of Tumbleton and the Dance of the Dragons, what he encounters is a tournament and a giant of a man who calls himself a knight.
