Count Duckula was visiting the tiny village-nation (it's both ) of Microsylvania, Cravenloft, in hope of restoring his nerves, only to discover the terrifying truth of their cottage industry. Our intrepid heroes, suddenly discovering themselves on an unexpected vacation (partly explained in the omake), find themselves embroiled in the local drama and intrigue and soon arrive on the doorstep of a campy Gothic castle, complete with strange servants — one of whom hopes to go bump in Zelda's night.N.B.: Though not directly spurred by it for the story herein (10th in the series), I must acknowledge a deep gratitude for the inspirational atmosphere of Robert Lynn Asprin's Myth-ing Persons in his portrayal of the Limbo “dimension” (and I suspect a dash of the Winslow vacation resort in Myth-fits).

Summary
The family that bakes together, stays together. The misadventures of an ever-hungry Troll named Snotgurgle, and his long-suffering wife Grumblewart, are a series of self-contained short stories (each chapter alone concluding its own mini-arc), with a general larger arc connecting them all.
It's all about a family of Trolls living in modern-day Jötunheimr (southeast of Niflheimr and east of Earth 1 [Orion Earth: Miðgårðr]), the approximately Bronze Age multi-species land that once was the gargantuan expanse of ᛃᚯᛏᚢᚾᚺᚨᛁᛗᛦ·ᚲᚨᛁᛊᚨᚱᚨᚷᚨᚱᚧᚢᚱ [ Jötunheimr Keisaragarður: Jötunheimr Imperial Park ]. If your eye is twitching at the futhark set, there's a reason; jötunska only parallels íslensku (see .pdf's notes section for further details [.pdf's URL in head-note of this story's first chapter]).
Though not necessary here, a map of Jötunheimr (made with AutoREALM v2.2.1) is included in the main body of chapter one.

Billie Badass is from one of the galaxy's most dangerous and hardy species (though also, punnily enough, rather hearty ) — a Genomorph (a hermaphroditic species halfway between the Gelatinous Blobs of Futurama and the Pleasure GELFs of Red Dwarf; not precisely a Star Trek DS9 Changeling, but similar enough) — though not suicidally stupid enough to go near Humans... until one fateful trip. Now cast away, ze learns from a local — Avery, a Deathworlder — adapts, overcomes, and survives.

A new girl has come to the fabled paradise of Shangri Oh Là Là. Many have sought it over the centuries, the dust of millennia echoing their desperate cries; not all who found it went on to entering unto this place, but none who did have ever been heard from again. It is said that a thousand pleasures await within, that it is all women while yet never turning men away, that women will find solace and distraction there (if not rest, as such).
Many things are said of it, and she intends to see how many of these things bear out.
NB: Arguably(?) Teen-ratable, I opted for Mature due to the fic's focus on sex — it's all conversational and purely ecchi, but might be enough to qualify as NSFW (certainly less so than the pr0n that got me suspended for reading during a fire alarm in '86 [which isn't saying much, granted], but I'd rather risk overrating from caution than underrating from callousness). -

Playable game with RNG (Random Number Generator) driven random events!
If you don't remember this game, think back to things like Zork (or, as a poor simile, something remotely like Sir-Tech's Wizardry series in atmosphere [this version of Wumpus being far less graphics-intensive]).
Armed with vorpal arrows and bearing lid-bags of wumpusnip and wumpuspurge of dubious effectiveness in hope of alternately luring and warding away the evil monster, will you take up the gantlet?
Who says that CSS is 𝖍ard?
(NB for TTS screen readers: that last word was “hard”, not “ard”, but I cheated with an “h” from an unusual Unicode range instead of CSS, so that it would remain visually odd in the Summary... and found that my testing-purpose [and sometimes laziness] freebie TTS browser extension can't read it... because of course.)NB 1: HTML-structural redundancy bloated the word and chapter counts; ~15K actual words (~4K vis. by RNG) and 20 caves!
NB 2: More PG than G, about as graphic as Oregon Trail, but I'm not sure if that's enough to rate as Teen.
