Summary
Next in the Sons of the Desert series. A collection of short stories. Family fluff, slice of life, this and that. Mostly Scar-centric. Lots of canon characters plus my OC's. Rated K to T, depending on language and thematic elements.

"Please, Major..." Taige said, trying to hide a smirk. "Indoor voice?"
"Oh! Of course, of course!" Alex replied, lowering his tone and reaching out to catch the bridle of Veela's bay. The horse instantly calmed down, his head under control, only his ears betraying his nervousness. "I'm afraid the more conversational tone of speaking was not something passed down to me through the Armstrong generations..." Alex said, sheepishly.

Summary
Scar tries to rebuild his life while haunted by his past. Kimblee could care less about his past, but it comes back to haunt him anyway.
"C'mon, Solf," Gar coaxed gently. "Tell Uncle Gar your problems."
Solf scowled and looked back at his car. "I'm just working through some stuff. It's not a big deal. Thanks anyway."
Gar sighed. "Sure. Well, then, how about this. Let me use your car as a teachable moment for my students."
Now Solf looked truly horrified. "You're not going to let them touch it, are you?"

This is beyond a shadow of a doubt one of the greatest AU's ever to be written. Add to that the challenge of resurrecting every dead character from the original fandom then transplant everyone into a modern setting. What you get is a masterpiece!

Hands down, this is the greatest fanfiction ever written post Promised Day for Fullmetal Alchemist. It is world building at its finest and the sheer scope of believable original characters is exhilarating! If you like Ishval, Ishvallans and -best of all- both Scar and Miles, don't miss reading this series!
