Summary
A sequel to isolation.
Jayce gets Viktor out of Piltover, and nothing is as easy as it should be.
“I feel as if I’m not quite myself,” Viktor says.
Jayce is quiet, and the silence stretches between them. When Jayce finally speaks, he says, “I don’t feel like myself either.”
Viktor meets his eyes. It’s a marvel, he thinks, that even when he is most lost to his own mind, Jayce can still follow.

Summary
Six years after he and Viktor part ways on antagonistic terms, Jayce wakes up in the Machine Herald’s medical clinic.
Jayce desperately wants to rub at his forehead, but the binding at his wrist stops him. He settles for squeezing his eyes shut. “Why?” he asks.
Viktor is silent for barely a moment. He says, tonelessly, “I assumed this was preferable to dying.”

"Professor," he begged as he walked behind his teacher. "Please, I cannot work with him. He's stubborn and selfish— a problem if you need just a word!"
"Oh, don't be silly, boy. You two are going to get along just fine,"
"No, no, you don't understand; we already don't."There are a few things quickly Jayces realizes after meeting Viktor:
- He hates having a partner
- He hates alphas
So he tries very hard to show him he's different. He can behave; he's not just some stupid animal incapable of controlling himself.
Or that's what he believes until he faces Viktor, who is suffering an abrupt heat.

This is a story about Jayce trying really hard to get closer to Viktor, the same Viktor who hates him and doesn't hesitate to hit him with his cane (basically). -

Summary
