KEGS lore

That honourable and gentlemanlike House

Ah, where to begin…*snore*-oh? Oh, right, yes. Where was I?

I am Mr. Thomlinson, history teacher of KEGS, though I suspect I’ve been here longer than the very bricks in these walls. I have seen headmasters come and go, students rise and fall, and now, well… now I see the fall of something greater.

History is my trade. I have spent decades teaching young minds the rise and ruin of empires, the folly of ambition, and the inevitability of power’s fall. And yet, as I sit in the quiet corners of this school-where once there was learning and laughter but now only whispers and shadows-I wonder if I am not merely teaching history anymore, but witnessing it unfold.

Ah, yes, Mr. Seed. A man of… *snore*-ah! Yes, yes, apologies. The mind wanders, you see. Or perhaps it flees. There is a darkness in these halls, a sickness in the heart of KEGS. I see it in the eyes of the students, the ones who remain. And I hear the echoes of those who do not.

I will document it all, as I always have. That is my duty. Somebody* must remember. Because if history has taught me anything, it is this-

Ah… but I forget what I was saying… *snore*

That honourable and gentlemanlike House

King Edward VI Grammar School - KEGS - has stood for centuries, its foundations laid by the decree of King Edward VI himself.
A beacon of academic excellence, it has weathered the passage of time, shaping generations of scholars under the guidance of its headteacher, Mr Carter.
But beneath its storied history and its polished reputation, all is not peaceful.

Tensions simmer, rivalries fester, and unseen forces move in the shadows. The school’s past is grand, but its future is uncertain.
