Summary
Kate pauses, the coffee pot titled over her to-go mug as the freshly-brewed dark roast starts to fill it. “Another undercover assignment? For both of us?”
Lucy carefully takes the pot from Kate, leveling it off before all 8 ounces end up on the counter. “Cool, right? A joint undercover operation. Thelma and Lousie, teaming up to take on the bad guys.”

Summary
"I have 3 weeks off and I am one of the most recognised women in the world. Where the hell am I supposed to go?”
“I have a place in Hawaii” Jane Tennant offers "It’s not huge, but it’s comfortable, has access to a secluded beach and its own pool. I know it’s not your own place, and I’m sorry about that, but hey… who doesn’t want to spend three weeks in paradise?”

With little choice, Kate agrees to head to Hawaii, expecting to keep her head down and catch up on some much needed rest. She wasn't expecting to meet Lucy Tara, once a chef and now a soccer coach, who apparently has no idea who Kate Whistler is...

Summary
Twenty-four hours before departure, and Lucy is totally fine. And by that, she means she hasn’t completely freaked out just yet, nor has she called in a bomb threat to get out of it, which is about as fine as she’s going to get.
Lucy takes on the boat, armed with a photograph, a surprising amount of her girlfriend's clothes, and a standard-issue phone from approximately 1997.
