Summary
Going back to King's Landing for the yearly family gathering was already bad when he was a teenager. Facing his mom's ex-friend (Grandma? Stepgrandma? Grandpa Viserys’ trophy wife? Could-have-been-my-stepmom-in-another-life?) and the Uncle (Crush? Gay awakening? The-face-that-triggered-my-presentation?) he had stabbed in the eye as a kid, was its own kind of hell.
But going back to King's Landing to said yearly family gathering, after failing to book a nanny and having to bring his adopted kid, to face his mom's recently rekindled friend (Grandma? Stepgrandma? ACTUAL-POSSIBLE-STEPMOM?) and his Ex-boyfriend (Ex-Alpha? Ex-Almost-Mates? Damn-Bastard-With-One-Too-Many-Eyes? UNCLE?) he had broken up with in such an ugly way...
Yeah. Lucerys was not ready.

Lucerys was humming and didn’t turn despite their loud entrance. The door to his room was locked tight, no chance of escape. Alys, the stern-looking woman who had met them at the tower's base and led them up the winding stairs, stepped forward. Aemond remained frozen in his shock, and Lannister in his fear, both of them useless.“Sweet prince,” she called softly. “You have company.”
