The result is almost instantaneous; he falls through the gap to land in a pile and she reflectively throws the only thing she can to protect her identity…which is the jacket he abandoned when he jumped onto the roof of the cart. He makes a startled noise and moves to remove it so she abandons all hope and practically throws herself to stop him from removing it.
“Please don't!” she blurts out, hands on his face through the fabric. She can almost feel the heat, his legs shuffling under her, “I’M NAKED,”
