Marinette's pretty used to Lila's lies, and has pretty much resigned herself to no longer having any friends as a result. But even though they have abandoned her to sit at her throne of lies, she feels she has to convince them that Lila is lying about this island festival.
Never mind. They weren't in a listening mood. They'd have to learn the hard way.

Lila's got her claws into the class like a hawk has its claws into the flesh of a mouse. Using her silver tongue, she has successfully excluded Marinette, Chloé, and Sabrina from the class end of year trip. However, such a trip involves fundraising efforts, and that was typically Marinette and Chloé's job.
