Hello and welcome to the BTS Law & Order fest! In this fest, you will be on your toes while learning what is right and what is wrong, where everything except for feelings will be in order. We, as your attorneys, will do our best to win your case.

Here are some dates you will need to know before the trial starts:

⚖️What is the fest about?
Glad you asked! The Law and Order fest is any and all content relating to crime control! It can be as a lawyer in court, a detective unmasking a gruesome murder, or a secret agent working for their government! We look forward to our readers, prompters and writers in a journey filled with thrill and suspense!

⚖️How does the fest work?
This fest is a prompt meme challenge and if this your first fest then here is a basic analysis:
People will submit prompts during the assigned prompting period and once the period is over, claiming shall commence! During the claiming period, authors/writers will claim prompts (number of claims is listed above!) and write them before the day of the verdict! ( i.e, the deadline!)

⚖️ Do I have to have an ao3 account to participate in the fest?
Yes! Since the fest collection will be based and housed on AO3, you will need an account to submit your prompts and/or works.

⚖️ Is there a specific ship I have to write about?
There is not! You can write about any Bangtan ship you want. Poly, romantic or platonic, they’re all encouraged!

⚖️ Do I have to submit a prompt in order to claim one?
No, you don’t! It’s not mandatory to submit a prompt before claiming/writing your prompt.

⚖️ How many prompts can I submit?
You can submit up to 15 prompts!

⚖️ Is self-prompting allowed?
Absolutely! We will be adding 10 self-prompts before the prompting period ends. You can claim up to one self-prompt.

⚖️ If a prompt has already been claimed, can I claim it as well?
A prompt can be claimed up to two times.

⚖️ I’ve already claimed a prompt, can I claim another one?
Absolutely! You can claim, and submit, up to 3 prompts in total! But if you have claimed a self-prompt already, your remaining prompts must be submitted prompts.

⚖️ Chaptered WIPs and sequels?
You’re allowed to submit chaptered fics (or the first chapter of a WIP) as long as it meets the rules and minimum word count, but your work cannot be a sequel of another fic. However, you are allowed to write sequels to your work after the fest/reveals period is over.

⚖️ Is there a specific word count I have to meet?
Your work must be at least 2000 words, but it can be as long as you want. We do not have a maximum limit.

⚖️ Does my fic need to have a specific ending?
Not at all! We do not have an endgame rule. You can write the ending as you see fit, whether that’s a happy or a sad one.

⚖️ Do I need to fill out a form to claim a prompt?
You do! After claiming your prompt(s) on AO3 please fill out our claim form so we know where and how to contact you!

⚖️ Are there check-ins?
There will be only two check-ins. The first one on August 1st, and the second one on September 30th. They are only so we can see if you’re still participating and discuss an extension if you were to need one!

⚖️ What if I can’t meet the deadline?
We will be providing an extension for those who need it! All you need to do is contact us so we can discuss it.

⚖️ I won’t be able to meet the deadline even with the extension. Can I still drop out?
Yes. All you have to do is fill in the drop-out form and reach out to us. Please do not drop the claim on AO3 without letting us know first.

⚖️ How do I post my work?
We will be providing a tutorial when the deadline gets closer.

⚖️ FOR WRITERS

- Your fic must revolve around professions or individuals on the right side of law i.e., a police officer, detective, attorneys, secret service, etc! (please contact us if you have queries regarding this!)
- Minimum word count is 2,000 words. This can take the form of a completed work, or the first part of a chaptered work; we accept both!
- All ships/pairings allowed (including poly!).
- You can claim up to 3 prompts.
- Rape, non-con, underage sexual content, pedophilia, incest, bestiality, grooming, mpreg are NOT ALLOWED in this fest.
- All works must be original.
- NSFW works are not allowed for underage writers.
- Tag your works correctly.
- Please respect the prompter’s DW’s and DNW’s.
- You can share snippets of your work on Twitter if you choose to do so as long as you don’t give your prompt away! Please tag us or use #Law&OrderBangtanFest so we can hype you up.
- Make sure to fill out the sign-ups, check-ins, and drop-out forms if you need one!
 

⚖️ FOR PROMPTERS

- Rape, non-con, underage sexual content, pedophilia, incest, bestiality, grooming, mpreg are NOT ALLOWED in this fest.
- You can submit up to 15 prompts.
- Your prompt can be as specific or vague as you want. Just make sure to include your DW’s and DNW’s.
