Summary
Bakugou Katsuki has been in love with Midoriya Izuku since they were fourteen years old.
Unfortunately, he's also spent most of his life being a complete and utter idiot about it.
Three years, one war, one apology, and an amount of guilt that Katsuki doesn't know how to live with later, he's finally got Izuku back. They're friends. They're close. Izuku smiles at him like Katsuki hung the fucking stars, and sometimes he falls asleep on Katsuki's shoulder during movie nights, and Katsuki has a very normal, very manageable reaction to all of this.
Which is to say, he is actively dying.
Because Katsuki can live with being hated. He can live with being the worst person in the room. He can live with a hundred other things.
What he doesn't know how to do is live with being forgiven.
And he's terrified that if Izuku ever sees the parts of him that still hurt, he'll take that forgiveness back.
Or: Bakugou is kind of stupid and doesn't want to accept that he likes Izuku but Izuku is stubborn and he gets his way anyways
