Summary
Something is wrong. Draco Malfoy feels it with every step he takes through the chilly corridors of Malfoy Manor. The shadows seem longer, the whispers closer, and the weight of a secret drags through the rooms. The nights are restless, filled with echoes he can’t place, while hazy memories hover at the edge of his consciousness.
There are looks he doesn’t understand, unspoken gestures, and a silent tension that no one dares mention. His parents speak to him as if they are always on the verge of revealing something terrible, but they hold back as if silence is the only thing protecting them. Draco wonders if they know what is happening to him.
And then there is Harry. Always him, always there in the moments when reality distorts the most. Draco doesn’t know if it is a coincidence, a twist of fate, or something more. Potter’s gaze pierces his defences, challenges him, and at the same time offers a strange comfort that Draco cannot explain. There is something between them that has never been said, but that pulses in the shadows, something that pulls him closer, even when he wants to run away. Maybe Harry sees what no one else sees. Or maybe he is just another piece of the puzzle that is forming around him. -

Summary
Harry starts his fifth year a shell of his former self. Traumatized by the graveyard, racked with guilt over Cedric’s death and forced to endure three months of the Dursley’s brutal treatment, he swings wildly between severe disassociation and deep depression.
An anonymous tip leads to Lucius Malfoy’s arrest, Narcissa is no where to be found and Severus is now Draco’s legal guardian. That was the easy part, the hard part will be putting his godson back together.
What Draco went through that summer rendered him lost, malnourished, and so full of rage and grief and fear he was choking on it.
“There is something wrong with Potter.”
“The first voluntary words you speak since our arrival a week ago and naturally they are regarding your unhealthy obsession with Mr. Potter,”
“There is something wrong with him, something bad, and no one is doing anything. He looks like….”
“Like what?”
“Like me.”

Summary
He walks clumsily to the Sorting Hat, trying to hide the limp Uncle Vernon gave him. Whispers follow him when the memories of the past summer flash through his mind, Cedric's death, getting beaten by Uncle Vernon, the dementors attacking him and his cousin, his so called 'friends' ignoring all the letters he sent, and the way everyone at Grimmauld Place stared at him with that forced concern he can't stand.
He sits down slowly, tense, when he feels the familiar steel of his father's dagger pressing against his calf.
or, a resorting fic where Harry is simply done with everything and everyone and won't be anyone's pawn.
and before you think: I know how this goes-you don't
