The Cat didn’t move away.
Hob stroked again and again rhythmically. The fur felt silk-like in his hand and very, very soft and fluffy. The black coat was so thick that Hob felt like his hand was swimming in it. With a closer look, Hob noticed that though the fur was black, it gleamed under the sun.
Hob couldn’t remember feeling any other cat as soft as the Cat under his hands.
