“you're joking right?”
“Nope, todays the day! Rise and shine my dear; you’ve been at Hogwarts far too long for you to have never played a game of Quidditch before.”
That was how Minerva found herself being dragged across the grounds at 7 in the morning in the middle of winter, with a broom clutched in her gloved, yet still somehow painfully frozen hand.
“Come on it’ll be fun!” Poppy shouted as she ran ahead, skipping gleefully with her red and gold Gryffindor scarf trailing nonchalantly behind her in the breeze. Her feet left a wake of cleanly stamped footprints in the otherwise undisturbed carpet of pristine snow.

Minerva glared at the garish decorations that decorated the hallways as she stalked to her office. She didn’t know what had possessed Albus to agree to that imbecile’s suggestion to decorate the castle in celebration of Valentine’s Day, but now that she had a few precious hours to herself, she was planning to use them exclusively in ignoring Valentine’s Day and all those who chose to celebrate it.
Unfortunately for her, Poppy would very much like to celebrate Valentine's Day.
