--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hola, fellow Encanto Fans! Great to have you here! I don't know if there is already a gift exchange on Encanto, but I was like why not start one?
There are not many rules. All ships (includig romantic ships with OCs) and also stories about characters as standalones are welcome. Everything else you need to know is explained in the rules and the sign-up form.
The assignment will be based on 1 ship (romantic or platonic) and/or 1 character you like to read about as a standalone. If you can't submit your favorites because there is no tag for them on AO3 yet, you can nominate them in the Tag Set!

Rules:
* minimum: 500 words
* Creative leeway: It's not allowed to request for complete plots or similar forcing authors into writing something specific. Prompts are of course very welcome but must vague enough and open to interpretation
* 18 + Policy: Adult content may be requested, but only in addition. Each request must be able to be fulfilled as SFW.
* Ships with OCs: Since the sign-up form does not ask for categories, please choose a ship tag that indicates your desired categorie, such as "Mirabel Madrigal/Original Female Character(s)" for example if you wish for fem!slash. If you already have a specific OC in mind, a small explanation is allowed in the request description. However, this should not go beyond a few keywords, so as not to limit your giver's creative freedom.
* Assignment Issues: If you cannot be assigned, you will be contacted and possibly asked to extend your request/offer. You can prevent this by making a broad request/offer.
* Please stick to the wishes of your assigned giftee! Especially take into account the DNWs! Also be very mindful of ship tags and the difference between platonic "&" and romantic "/"
* Be kind: Leave a kudo and a comment after receiving your gift. Even if you didn't quite like it, at least say thank you
* Defaults and Postponements: Participants who do not submit their works on time will be contacted with the request to do so within a certain period of time. If this deadline is not met, the participant will be considered as in default and a pinch hitter will be sought
