NGC Recs Gods & Immortals
A collection for stories involving gods, (non-cultivation style) immortals, or similar primal spirits. This includes the servants, angels, or avatars of gods.
A main character does not have to be one of these, as long as the connection to the gods is significant in the story. A character simply being a god/etc won’t qualify it for this collection. Emphasis on their divine nature or duties would.

Sorcery grad student Hua Cheng accidentally summons long-forgotten god Xie Lian into his dorm room in the middle of the night. They figure things out from there.

Summary
In another universe, The Crown Prince of Xian Le, Xie Lian, did not ascend as a martial god, but as a god of flowers, a minor god.
A minor god who made a mistake, and was punished, sealed in his own little portion of heaven with barely any power, indebted to the Heavenly Officials for their mercy and kindness. He spends his days in isolation, occasionally visited by gods when they want him for their festivals. He cannot refuse.
All days were nice. All days were the same.
Until a new 'god' visited, one draped in red with a large, red butterfly perched on his shoulder.
