Summary
Three months after the end of ACOSF, all of the Inner Circle's problems have been solved and things in the Night Court finally feel back to normal. But as happy as Cassian is, he begins to notice new things about his mate. Like the way she still doesn't ask for things, how she sometimes puts on a façade for his family, how much self hatred still grips her. The last thing he wants is for her to fall back into that dark place, but when she begins cutting back on training and the Library, he can't help but worry.
Perhaps, all of their problems hadn't been solved with the birth of a new life and the destruction of Briallyn. Perhaps the methods they used to help Nesta heal hadn't been as beneficial as he thought. And perhaps, Cassian was realizing all of this too late.
A two chapter look into "what happens next" if the Inner Circle were to just assume everything was automatically great and move on as normal once Nyx and Feyre are saved and Briallyn is defeated.
