What is this weekend for?

This is two days of celebrating our favorite widows, Mary Allamby and Evelyn Higgins. We welcome any and all fanwork focused on the Our Flag Means Death characters Mary Allamby and Evelyn Higgins - including art, fic, podfic, crafts, songs, cosplay, video edits, or anything else you can dream of.

Any variation of identities and sexualities are included for both characters (and more if you decide to add others).

Can I ship them with someone else?

The goal of the event is to explore Mary and Evelyn’s relationship. But we invite you to be creative! You can ship them together, or even separately, with other characters, but still we encourage primary focus to be on them in whatever you create.

This event is inclusive of all relationship configurations and situations (including monogamy, polyamorous relationships, threesomes, foursomes, hook-ups, committed relationships, etc).

Can we include popular ships or characters?

Yes, although Mary Allamby and Evelyn Higgins must be the focus and play a key role in whatever you create!

What if I want to create a work focusing on these characters in platonic ships?

Great! Platonic or romantic or otherwise, if it’s still focusing on Mary Allamby and Evelyn Higgins then it’s very welcome! If you write something that’s platonic ships, we would encourage you to use appropriate tagging on AO3 (i.e. “Mary & Evelyn”, which reflects a platonic ship, rather than “Mary/Evelyn”, which reflects a romantic/sexual ship.)

Mary Allamby and Evelyn Higgins must be the primary characters and focus of any and all fics added to this collection.
