What is the omegaverse?
Omegaverse, also known as A/B/O (an abbreviation for "alpha/beta/omega"), is a subgenre of speculative erotic fiction, and originally a subgenre of erotic slash fan fiction. Its premise is that a dominance hierarchy exists in humans, which are divided into dominant "alphas", neutral "betas", and submissive "omegas". This hierarchy determines how people interact with one another in romantic, erotic and sexual contexts.

What are the rules of the omegaverse?
The rules are what you'd like to do! You can have mating bites be psychically linked or just a gesture. Scents can be strong and definitive or mentioned in passing. Our BlueSky and Twitter will be featuring omegaverse fics that might inspire you or come up with your own!

What are some common themes of the omegaverse?
There are some things that tend to be present in most omegaverse fics such as heat/rut, knots for alphas, mating bites, Dominance/Submission and scent play. These can all be as big a part or as little as you want to put in your story.
