Welcome to the annual Olicity Secret Santa, hosted by Mare (green-arrows-of-karamel), Kathi, (smmkbert), and Carol (tdgal1). Despite Felicity being Jewish, and a lot of the fans celebrating something other than Christmas, Secret Santa is a great (and hopefully non-religion specific) way to show some love for our favorite couple and to a fellow Olicity fan. Those who participate will both give and receive one fanwork each!

Can I sign up directly here?
Sorry, no.

Why not? Why are you not using AO3's sign-up form?
First, because this gift exchange was born on Tumblr and all its participants come from there. Then, we are using our own form to make it easier on us and you. It makes easier for us to deal out the assignments according to what everyone wants and is willing to do.

If I participated on Tumblr but I don't have an account here, do I need to get one?
No. The idea of opening this collection was born out of the fact that many fic writers post their works regularly on this site. It seems only logical that that being so, it was nice to have all the fic for OSS 2017 put together in one place outside Tumblr.

Okay, cool. But what if I want to get an AO3 account? How can I do it?
You can request one from AO3 by signing up for an account here, which will take a few days, or you can contact us for an AO3 invite.

What does it mean that the exchange is anonymous?
You will not know who is writing a fic for you until fics are posted and revealed. Please do NOT reveal your identity before the official posting, thank you!

I don't write, but I'm good at other forms of fanwork. Can I participate too?
Absolutely! Besides writing a fic, you can do the following forms of fanwork: gifsets, graphics, fanart, vids, playlist.

Can I include ships other than Olicity in my fic?
Yes, but please make sure that the main ship is Olicity.

Do I have to be following Mare, Carol, or Kathi on AO3 or personal Tumblr to join?
No, you don't. But we encourage you to follow the Olicity secret Santa blog so you can be up to date of all the announcements we're making. But of course, if you want to, you can!

1. Must have be a participant of the Olicity Secret Santa 2017 and signed up according to the rules on this blog.
2. Sign-ups end on November 8. Assignments will be sent on November 12.
3. All works have to be submitted by December 15th.
4. All works must be rated and tagged properly.
5. Fanfics: 500 words minimum. Please, as much as possible, check the grammar and readability of your work.
5. We'll try to match Secret Santas and recipients to the best of our abilities. If problems or questions arise, with regards to matching, email a mod at [email protected], or send a message to OSS Tumblr or any of our personal blogs.
