Summary
JJ Maybank, Sarah Cameron, and Rafe Cameron grew up as siblings, though they never quite learned what that was supposed to mean.
Children of the same mother, yet raised in completely different worlds, the three share a relationship marked by resentment, differences, and old wounds. Rafe and Sarah never made any effort to hide how much they considered JJ an intruder in their lives, while JJ learned far too early not to expect anything from them but contempt.
Through fights, provocations, jealousy, and years of accumulated resentment, the three grew up side by side without ever truly becoming a family.
But growing up means changing — and sometimes, being forced to face the people you've spent your entire life trying to hate.
Because being siblings may not mean liking each other.
But it certainly makes it much harder to simply walk away.
