Persephone "Percy" Jackson is so tired and done with life. At 18 years old, six months after the whole bullshit family feud with Great Grandma Gaea, the Gods are back at it again with their neglectful, arrogant bullshit. And of course, Percy is at the center of it.
Though, this one isn't as bad as the literal wars she fought, nor the horrors she had been forced to travel through in that place. It did have to deal with Hell though, and no. Not the Underworld. The Hell where Satan and Lucifer reside in and where sinners are punished in eternal damnation.
Yep. Apparent—fucking—ly, the Christian God and his angels exist. Honestly, Percy shouldn't be that surprised. It's a pantheon in its own right; a pantheon of angels with only one God, but a pantheon alright. And now, she has to go down to this Hell and be a liaison for the damn Gods of hers—with Annabeth, her ex-girlfriend, Nico, her second best friend, tied with Grover, Reyna, and Hazel. Just kill her now. She wasn't even supposed to live this long. Fuck!
Well, meeting her first best friend—and coming to find out that she's the fucking Princess of Hell—after not seeing her in 13 years, is the biggest plus in this whole shitshow.

Percy’s always known he was a bit different from the other children. The other children didn’t have sharp teeth or claws. The other children didn’t have scales or gills. The other children weren’t able to detect when someone was coming up behind them by the way their footsteps sounded, even if you were across the street. The other children couldn’t see the future or the past in their dreams or flashes of someone's fate when he looked at them. They weren’t able to hear the sound of someone’s breath from 30 feet away.
But Percy was okay with that. He didn’t need any of the other kids. They stayed away from him even if they couldn’t see his ever-changing eyes that could stare into your soul or his too-long fingers with claws instead of nails. But that was okay, he told himself, he had his Mom, Auntie Bronze, and Apollo, and that was all he needed.

Percy Jackson is a mischievous little shit with baby seal eyes and a talent for getting gods wrapped around his fingers.
